Preparation

Heat butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Add chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are translucent.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle all-purpose flour over the tomato mixture and stir well.

Pour in vegetable broth and stir to combine. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

Blend the mixture in a blender until smooth.
