Preparation

1
Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2
In a separate bowl, mix cornflour, all-purpose flour, egg, and a pinch of salt to make a batter.

3
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai. Dip each marinated chicken piece in the batter and deep fry them until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.

4
In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add sliced onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

5
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.

6
Add yogurt, lemon juice, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well.

7
Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and toss them gently to coat them evenly with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes on medium heat.

8
Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

9
Serve hot as an appetizer or as a side dish with rice or roti.
