Preparation

Heat oil in a tawa or flat griddle.

Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger, garlic, and green chili. Sauté for a minute.

Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned.

Add tomato puree and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well.

Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

Add yogurt and garam masala. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.

Drizzle lemon juice over the chicken and mix.

Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
