Nagli rotla
Traditional Indian millet roti made using finger millet flour

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine the finger millet flour and salt.

Gradually add water to the flour mixture, kneading to form a soft dough.

Divide the dough into small balls.

Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.

Roll out each dough ball into a round roti, dusting with flour if needed to prevent sticking.

Place the roti on the heated tawa and cook for about 1 minute.

Flip the roti and cook the other side for another minute.

Apply ghee on both sides and cook until the roti is golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from heat and serve hot with curry or chutney.
